Longhorn Rugs belong to a rich history of fine craftsmanship.
In 1998, the renovation of the Darrel
K Royal - University of Texas Memorial Stadium
provided the opportunity to create a special "Longhorn"
carpet for the new University of Texas Club
located in the stadium. Award-winning interior designers
created the design for the carpet, and developed the
specifications required for such high-traffic, private
club facility. After five years of constant use in the
UT Club, the "Longhorn" carpet continues to
perform and provide a rich backdrop for parties, fine
dining and game day activities.
The LICENSED LONGHORN RUG COLLECTION,
is based on the original design for the UT Club. The new rugs
are manufactured in a cut and loop construction, giving the
collection a hand-made look usually found in more expensive
rugs. While the new collection includes new colors and designs,
the fibers and construction are much the same as those used
in the carpet for The University Club and for other projects
around the UT campus.
The Etter-Harbin Alumni
Center selected the C.Y.P. Looms to create their special
"Longhorn" design. This project was installed in the
year 2000. While the design of the Longhorn differed from that
of The Darrel K Royal - University of Texas Memorial Stadium,
the specifications were the same.
Another high profile Texas project, The Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum features
custom carpet created by the designers of Longhorn rugs.
The
carpet patterns feature Texas wildflowers and cactus
as well as images of the shape of the state of Texas.
Thousands of people from around the state, the nation
and the world have visited this beautiful museum.
From the ballroom to the boardroom,
Longhorn Rugs Custom Broadloom will reflect your Texas pride
and good taste.
